スケートボード

スケートボードはたまに広い公園などで練習している若い子を見かけます。
日本ではなかなか練習する場所もないのではないでしょうか……プロともなれば専用の練習場もあるのでしょうが。
スケートボードは足が板に固定されていないので、とても難しい競技だと上司の方に教えてもらいました。動画などを見ていると、よく板だけ飛んでいかないものだと感心します。
スケートボードを描くうえで強調したのは躍動感とスピード感です。
そんなに難しい構図は描いてはいないのですが、かっこよく技を決めているポーズを意識しました。
スキーやスノボでいろいろ描いたポーズが参考になりました。人物が板を触っている決めポーズでは、体に比べて手が長すぎたり短すぎたりしないように注意しました。
絵が出来上がったら鏡に映してみるか、後ろから透かして見てください。
デッサンの狂い、絵の不自然な所が分かったりします。
今回も、何回も描き直しようやく出来上がった絵。

I sometimes see young skateboarders practicing in large parks.
In Japan, it may be difficult to find a place to practice. …… I guess if you are a professional, you may have a dedicated practice place.
The skateboarding is a very difficult sport because the feet are not fixed to the board, my boss told me. When I watch videos, etc., I am impressed that the board doesn’t just fly away.
In drawing skateboards, I emphasized the sense of dynamism and speed.
I did not draw a very difficult composition, but I was conscious of the cool poses in which the skaters are performing their tricks.
I used various poses I had drawn while skiing and snowboarding as references. In the pose where the person is touching the board, I was careful not to make the hand too long or too short compared to the body.
When the painting is finished, look at it in a mirror or through it from behind.
You may find that the drawing is not correct or that there are some unnatural parts.
This time, too, I had to redo the drawing many times before it was finally finished.
